Sportscaster Linda Cohn Talks Love of the Game, Chiropractic Care
If you were to ask Linda Cohn, one of the most successful female sportscasters in the business, what is one thing that’s surprised her in her 22 years of covering sports, it’s not the scandals she’s reported on—and there have been many—but rather, how many professional athletes credit their success to chiropractic care.
“Chiropractic care is a remarkable approach to health care that helps to keep you healthy and vibrant,” she says, referring not only to the athletes she interviews, but herself as well.
Cohn, who has a new book out titled “Cohn-Head,” writes in-depth about her hard-fought (and meteoric) rise to the top of the “sportscasting boys’ club,” as well as her love of playing the sports she covers—specifically ice hockey. Growing up in Long Island, N.Y., her love of the game, she says, started when she made the boys’ hockey team in high school, and continued when she played goalie for the State University of New York women’s team.
“Sports are obviously an important part of my life, and I love to play hockey,” she says. “you can’t get more involved than that.”
Her involvement, however, isn’t only with the sports she covers. You see, chiropractic care runs in the family.
“My brother is not only a renowned care provider, but also my chiropractor,” says Cohn, who avidly supports the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress.
“And,” she adds, “with chiropractic care, I have never felt better in my life.”
